We went to Morro Bay to stay with the Schmidts this weekend and it was very beautiful.
We got to see where some Monarch butterflies were winterizing
(I don't know if you can tell from the picture
but those orangish bunches of leaves are actually hundreds of butterflies)

The waves were huge! You can see the surfer out there and this was a smaller wave.
I got to hold a butterfly....blowing on them keeps them warm so they don't fly away.
I was obsessed with the waves....

Those are great pictures. I especially love morro rock with the kayaks. That is the prettiest view I've seen of it.
WOW! Talk about beautiful. That would be soo fun to see all the butterflies. You took some pretty amazing pictures. You must have a hidden talent of photography. I am dreaming of warm days like that.
Morro Bay! So close and we still missed you guys. I've been tempted to take Julia to see the butterflies. So not only do you paint but you take amazing pictures!!! Kara, you are so talented.
