I had the artist reception on Friday night for my first solo art show! I was so happy because of all our amazing friends that showed up. Some of my friends from school drove 2 hours from San Fran to come and the amazing Abel family drove all the way down from Auburn. The library did such an awesome job with the presentation. They made me little posters that they put up everywhere, as well as flyers and an artist tag for me to wear. They also had it catered from a local cafe. Anyways, I sold two paintings that night, one of the Lodi arch and my aspens-kind of sad because I really like that one :( Can't get attatched to your work I guess. Thanks everyone that came and everyone that couldn't- we wish you were there!

Kara!!! That's awesome! My favorite is the aspen trees as well. I took photos of them when I lived in Utah, hoping that some day someone could paint them or I'd just frame them. Anyway, I'll have to save up to have you paint one for us.
I hope you don't mind, I'm going to blog about your art show and post a photo.
I wanted to see some painting, so I went to Lodi's public library and found the info- then I checked your blog. I'm so happy you posted about it. Congrats!
